White Memorial Foundation & Conservation Center, Litchfield

Hosted by the Litchfield Track Club and sanctioned by the USATF

TIME: Registration starting at 8:30am at the Activity Shed. Course will be open for individual walks at 9am. 3k, 4k, and 5k maps available.

ENTRY FEE:   $5.00

USATF:  All competitors must have a USATF membership. Memberships will be available in the Activity Shed. One Year: $19.95. Online USATF membership registration encouraged.

PARKING: All parking will be in the Sawmill Field behind the starting line. No parking on roads or trails. No exceptions. Parking at the Activity Shed for officials only!

TEAM DECLARATION: Sheet must be turned in before each race!

AWARDS: Medals given in each race to the top ten finishers.  Top 25 individuals and top three teams from each race advance to the REGION 1  Meet at CONEY HIGH SCHOOL, AUGUSTA , MAINE,  on NOVEMBER 22, 2009.

COURSES: All three courses are run over the trails on the conservation center. The 3k is mostly flat with one hill near the end.  The 4k and 5k courses have a hill at the 1.5 mile mark with an elevation rise of 134’. Then it drops 134’ in elevation!  Leaves, roots, and possible puddles (or snow!) will be encountered. THIS IS NOT A SPEED COURSE!

DIRECTIONS: From the East: I84 to Waterbury. Route 8 North to Exit 42. Left on to Rt. 118 to Litchfield. Rt. 202 West thru Litchfield. WMF entrance 2 miles from the center on left. Follow signs to parking.  From the South: Rt. 8 North to Exit 42. Follow East directions.
