USATF MINUTES

The meeting was called to order at 7:15pm

In attendance:  BobFontaine, Bob Gemske, Peter Hawley, Will Graustein, Joyce Baiardi,  Sasha Benjamin, Marvis Brown, Major Ruth, RonDaniel and Brian Williams.

REPORTS

President- BobFontaine stated that all convention documentation has been submitted.

Membership- noreport

Treasurer- BobGemske reported that we presently have $87,535.

COMMITTEES

Officials- noreport

LDR- WillGraustein stated that the Cross Country Grand Prix is half over. The 8KHartford track club race is next followed by the 3mi. Cow Chip Race. The CT Cuprace is 12/2/12 in Glastonbury, trophies and awards have been ordered. Willproposed that the CT Cup race for 3013 be the Colchester ½ marathon in Feb. 2013.

Masters-PeterHawley said he has submitted his vote for the Master’s Hall of Fame.

Sanctions- noreport

Youth- noreport

Race walking-Ron Daniel said that he attended the national conference in England and isinvestigating different programs for various levels and ages. The 5 mi. indoorchampionship was 11/4, results will be posted on our website.

AAU- noreport

Web Master- BrianWilliams has redesigned our website page. He is waiting for the review fromnational. Our newsletter is now posted.

OLD BUSINESS

JO CrossCountry championship- Bob Fontaine reported that we had 350 registeredathletes. Several clubs had to run as unattached. Discussion followed regardinginfo dissemination.

Indoor youthmeet- This proposed meet is on hold. More planning time is needed.

2013USATF/CT outdoor meet- Bob stated that Willowbrook Park in New Britain will beour sight on 6/15/13.

NEW BUSINESS

USATF/CT IndoorChampionship-Bob Fontaine stated that there is difficulty finding analternative indoor site as Cox Cage is unavailable. He’ll keep us posted.
