CONNECTICUT Attendance: Bob Stephenson, Jon Kornacki, Bob Gemske, Peter Hawley, Alan McDougal, Marty Schaivone, Joe Riccio, and Will Graustein Meeting came to order at 6:07 PM Discussion on the 2007 Road Race Grand Prix Schedule: Date Race Club to cover the USATF/CT Table 3/11/07 WSSAC 4-Miler Milford Road Runners 6/17/07 Branford 5-Mile AFHT 7/4/07 Milford 5K WSSAC 9/3/07 New Haven 20K Housatonic Road Runners 9/30/07 Hogs Back Half Hartford Track Club Motion: An announcement for the 2007 RRGP schedule shall be posted on www.greystoneracing.net, and sent to www.hitekracing.com, as well as the www.usatf-ct.org websites. An announcement requesting solicitations for the 2008/2009 RRGP shall be posted on the www.greystoneracing.net, and sent to www.hitekracing.com, as well as the www.usatf-ct.org websites. A form shall be created for potential solicitors to download regarding the 2008/2009 RRGP and the specific characteristics pertaining to their potential race (ie. Logistics, size, demographics, an existing race app., etc). I have attached the race solicitation letter that we used for the 2006/2007 RRGP (dated 8/31/05). The letter was created by the RRGP Committee in 2005. The letter is a good place to start in creating a more user-friendly downloadable form. Please look the letter over and send me your comments for the new form. Discussion of the USATF National policies for Background checks and fee increases was given. Please alert your club about the background checks. Information on the background checks can be found at the www.usatf.org national site. Brief discussion on invoices and payment timeliness from the race and from the USATF/CT. Next meeting is tentatively scheduled for May. Meeting
