Norfolk Land Trust 10k Named Trail Championship
USATF-CT announced on Thursday, May 12th that the 2016 CT Trail Running Championship would be the Norfolk Land Trust 10k. The race will take place on Sunday, September 25th at noon in Norfolk.
The People’s Forrest Trail race has hosted the last several trail championships but a change in venue is always a good thing. The Norfolk Land Trust 10k is a USATF sanctioned event and also hosts a 5k at 12:30 p.m.
The change in scenery also comes with a change in prize purse. Instead of the traditionally team prize money for the top to USATF-CT teams, this year the prize purse will go to the top three USATF-CT individuals. $125 for first, $75 for second and $50 for third. Prize money winners must be current USATF-CT members.
