USATF Connecticut Official’s Meeting and Training Session
On November 26th Yvonne Grimes the Official’s Certification Chair for Connecticut held an Official’s meeting, event specific training, and certification clinic for prospective officials. The event took place at the Freeman Athletic Center at Wesleyan University. In addition to training new officials, the session provided an opportunity for those already certified to improve their skills in the throws, starting, pole vault, and clerking. The event was a huge success and there are plans to hold a similar event each year.
