2019 USATF Annual Meeting – Reno Nevada
USATF National is made up of 56 Associations of which Connecticut is one of those Associations. All Associations must meet certain criteria to maintain their accreditation and be considered to be in good standing. Part of the criteria is that each Association must send a minimum of 8 delegates to the Annual meeting. This year’s meeting was in Reno Nevada from December 5 through the 8th at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. We were represented by our President Bob Fontaine- Associations, Greg Burnett-Officials, Maryanne Daniel-Race Walk, Ron Daniel-Race Walk and Men’s LDR, Sasha Benjamin- Women’s and Master’s LDR, Major Ruth-Youth and Men’s Track and Field along with Cross Country Council, Bill Mongovan-Youth, Jim Barber-Women’s and Master’s Track and Field. Also representing Connecticut was Bonnie Edmondson. Bonnie was awarded an Alumni Service Award during our opening Session. On the first morning of the Annual Meeting, we received word the an Arbitration Panel had ruled that Vin Lananna be reinstated as the President and Chair of the board of USATF.
