OLD BUSINESS

BUDGET- Bob Fontaine presented a 2004-2005 proposed budget. After some discussion Will Graustein moved to accept the budget as amended and the membership of this committee unanimously agreed. The final budget will be distributed at the next meeting.

Marketing- Bob Fontaine reported that the idea to send an e-mail blast to the Ct. membership will be done by Andy  Martin at the national office. A membership application will open first with links being highlighted in yellow. Ray Lapinski suggested that the e-mail subject lead off with something about Ct.  track and field so it won’t just get deleted by some.

Flyer- Bob Fontaine said he is working on this. It can be distributed at various track meets.

T-shirts- Patty Miller is working on a design. It was suggested to contact national because they may be able to get us a better price on the basic shirt.

Calendar- Will Graustein looked into the printing of 1500 11x17in. 2005 calendars with black and white pictures. The cost would be $2000 plus $1500 for mailing. Graustein and Gemske offered to look into getting sponsor ads and informing clubs and other race organizers that their sanctioned races can be listed for a small fee. After much discussion it was decided to send out a membership renewal notice in Dec. or Jan., include our indoor meet application and try to have the calendar ready for distribution by early Mar.

NEW BUSINESS

Convention delegates- Bob Fontaine stated that he himself, Yvonne Grimes, Maryanne Daniel, Bill Mongovan, Ray Lapinski and Kate Paddon will be going to Portland in Dec.

Indoor championships- Bill Mongovan reported that our indoor meet on Mar. 20th will be timed by Ken Platt. The master’s featured events are to be decided. The Junior XC championship is this Sun. 11/14 @ 10:30. He also reported that Danbury High School is interested in hosting the CT J.O. championship. He will pursue this with the athletic director.
