MINUTES: Minutes from the Annual Meeting of Nov 10th were accepted

MEMBERSHIP: Doug Black is resigning as many of the membership functions as possible. He recognizes that he may need to continue processing forms for the rest of the membership year, but he will not be able to attend events or generate membership lists for events. Jim Barber suggested a committee to cover the various functions. In the short term, we need to find someone to cover the indoor meet.
Online registration is going well - we have about 40 total, including 8 credit card registrations through signmeupsports.com.

SECRETARY: Ed Parrot reported that the new web site is up at www.signmeupsports.com. Sanctions are slow this time of year, so there isn't much to report.

ATHLETICS/YOUTH: Bill Mongovan discussed putting pre-registration for the indoor meet on the web site. Ed Parrot will work on this. Our outddor junior olympics will be split into two dates. 14 & under will be on June 11 at Darien HS, while 15-18 will be on June 17th at Bowen Field in New Haven.

DEVELOPMENT: Rich Destefano reported that plans for his upcoming clinics are doing well. He introduced Steve Browning, who is putting on a clinic in Colchester and wanted some financial help. After much discussion, the body approved a $300 loan, which should be paid back at some point. The vote was 7-2 in favor. He will offer a discount to USATF members.

LDR: Ray Lapinski reported that the Grand prix bid meeting was on December 8 and went well.

DISABLED: Yvonne Grimes reported that the Paraolympics will be June 23-24 at Conn. College, preceded by the Cerebral Palsy games on June 21-22

RACEWALKING: Maryanne Torellas reported that upon further research, a national record was set at the state championships in October. The record has been ratified. Diana Gladden is working on getting more youth involved, hopefully in time for our indoor meet. The Milford Mall race-walk is this weekend.

NEXT MEETING: April 12 at 8:15 PM at Southern CT State University
