Sunday, October 6, 9:30 AM, Norfolk: Haystack Mountain Challenge Trail Half Marathon

The team categories are open men; open women; masters men and masters women. A complete team has at least three members.  Runners included in team scoring for this series risk losing their scholastic eligibility. Most events this year have concurrent races.  To compete in this Usatf-CT series you must register for the race as listed above.

Rocky Neck:  For prize money purposes,  the team structure remains the same:  You must have three teammates racing in each of the usual categories; 3 open men; 3 open women; 3 masters men; 3 masters women, to qualify for prize money.   You can read how the race works here:  How It Works  and please MAKE SURE TO REGISTER FOR THE 3-PERSON TEAM.

$1,500 in team prize money is available. A team consists of three runners of the same gender and USATF-CT club, and to be eligible for prizes, clubs must send a team to three of the four races. Scoring shall be five (5) points for each first place scored, three (3) points for second, and two (2) points for third. The team score shall be the sum of the net (if available, otherwise gun) times of the top three members of each team. At the end of the series, checks in the amounts of $450 to men’s and women’s open teams and $300 to the men’s and women’s masters teams will be presented to the winning clubs.

The series is generously supported by USATF, USATF-CT, ARATRACE Timing, Mr. Bimble, Greystone Racing and the Norfolk Land Trust.
