The 2017 USATF-CT Association Mountain/Ultra/Trail (MUT) Running Series has been revamped and will feature races of various distances from around the state. Up to $1,500 in team prize money is available. A team consists of 3 runners of the same USATF-CT club, and to be eligible for prizes, clubs must send a team to 4 of the races. Scoring shall be five (5) points for each first place scored, three (3) points for second, and two (2) points for third. The Bimbler’s Bluff 50k counts for double points. The team score shall be the sum of the times of the top three members of each team. At the end of the series, which culminates at the Bimblers Bluff 50k race in Guilford, checks in the amounts of $450 to men’s and women’s open teams and $300 to the men’s and women’s masters teams will be presented to the winning clubs.
The series is generously sponsored by USATF, USATF-CT, ARATRACE Timing and Mr. Bimble, Manchester Running Company, Norfolk Land Trust, Greystone Racing, Trail-2-Trail Racing, the Mohegan Striders Running Club and Kelley’s Pace of Mystic.
