ENTRY PROCESS:

All pre-entries though https://www.directathletics.com/  | Online Entries close Thursday, July 19th at 8:00 p.m.

You may register on site up until 9:00 a.m. on the day of the event

Masters events will be contested in ten-year increments 40-49, 50-59, etc., – athletes from all associations are invited to compete for medals in these events. Heats/Flights will be created based on performance competing with open athletes. Masters awards will be determined based on age-group results. Masters athletes competing in the throws must use an implement appropriate for their age if they wish to be considered for awards. Please plan to provide your own throwing implements.

Only current 2018 USATF members may compete. Memberships can be obtained here. (No memberships will be available on the day of the event). The meet is open to ages 18 and older.

Pre-Registration $ 20.00   Day of Registration $25.00 

ENTRY LIMITS: Four events

AWARDS: USATF Association medals will be awarded to the top three individuals (CT Association members only) and Masters.

IMPLEMENT WEIGH-IN: Note: all implements must be checked before they can be used. Look for the implement weigh-in area when you arrive at the meet.  Masters athletes must compete with an implement appropriate for their age group.

MEET CHECK-IN:  Pre-registered athletes must check in and pick up their race packet and number.

EVENT CHECK-IN:  Check-in for Running Events will take place in a designated area, TBA. Athletes will receive hip numbers at event check-in. Field Event athletes check in directly at the event. Athletes must check in for their events when the event is called or they will be scratched from that event.

COMPETITION BIB NUMBERS: All competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers during competition and on the front of their jerseys only. Bib numbers will be distributed to athletes at Meet Check-in. Hip numbers for running events will be distributed during Event Check-in.

EVENT RESULTS: During competition, event results will be posted near the meet check-in area.  In addition, event results will be posted live at grimesttimes.net and following the meet at www.usatf-ct.org.

PROTESTS: There will be a $25.00 fee for all protests.  Protests must be submitted to Referee at once and not later than 30 minutes after a result has been announced.  The protest fee will be refunded if the protest is upheld.

NOTE: Out-of-association participants who are currently USATF members are welcome to compete. E.g. USATF-New England, New York, etc. are welcome!

RULES – USATF as found in the 2018 rule book.  Maximum Spike Length is ¼”, no Christmas Tree or Needle spikes

DIRECTIONS:

DIRECTIONS TO MHS PE & FIELDS

From I-84 East:
Take Exit 60 and at the end of the ramp stay in the middle of the three lanes.
Turn RIGHT onto Middle Turnpike and stay in the LEFT hand lane.
1/4 Mile follow as the lane bears LEFT through the traffic light.
Turn RIGHT at the next traffic light onto West Middle Turnpike.
Travel STRAIGHT through 7 TRAFFIC LIGHTS.
At the 8th Traffic Light turn RIGHT onto BROOKFIELD STREET.
Follow Brookfield Street to the FIRST STOP SIGN.
Turn RIGHT into the rear student lot, adjacent to the fields.

From I-84 West:
Take Exit 63 (South Windsor) and follow the exit ramp around to the RIGHT.
Proceed RIGHT through the YIELD.
At the SECOND traffic light, turn RIGHT onto OAKLAND STREET.
Follow Oakland Street through TWO traffic lights.
Cross over railroad tracks.
OAKLAND STREET becomes SUMMIT STREET after the tracks.
Follow Summit Street through 3 STOP SIGNS.
At the FIRST traffic light, turn LEFT onto EAST MIDDLE TURNPIKE.
Follow East Middle Turnpike to the FIRST traffic light.
Turn RIGHT onto BROOKFIELD STREET.
Follow Brookfield Street to the FIRST STOP SIGN.
Turn RIGHT into the student parking lot, adjacent to the fields.
